Beretta S687 Silver Pigeon – 12 Gauge Sporting Over/Under Shotgun – Cased This Beretta S687 Silver Pigeon sporting over/under shotgun, serial number M37335B, is chambered in 12 gauge for both 2 ¾-inch and 3-inch shells, and is configured to accept Optima-Choke HP chokes. Built on Beretta’s proven 680 platform, this model combines superior Italian craftsmanship with modern design, making it one of the most versatile sporting shotguns available. The shotgun is equipped with 29.5-inch Seelium tri-alloy steel barrels, designed through deep drilling, cold hammer forging, and vacuum relieving for superior strength and accuracy. The barrels retain a matte black finish with only slight silvering at the muzzles and are topped with a ventilated rib and a single red fiber optic front sight. The bores remain shiny and bright, and the barrels lock up tight against the receiver. Barrel flats and water table are clearly marked and jeweled, with additional delicate engraving carried onto the barrel shoulders. The receiver is masterfully engraved using Beretta’s advanced five-axis laser technology, allowing for extremely fine detail even on rounded surfaces. The right side features a mallard duck scene, the left side a ruffled grouse scene, and the underside a bobwhite quail scene, each framed by graceful floral motifs. The underside also bears the Beretta logo and model designation. The gun is fitted with a gold-colored single selective trigger, with the selector incorporated into the tang-mounted safety. The stock set is made of high-quality walnut. The beavertail forearm is finely checkered on both sides and fitted with an engraved release lever. The buttstock has a checkered pistol grip and a lustrous gloss finish that enhances the natural wood grain while providing protection against the elements. The stock is capped with a black rubber recoil pad embossed with the Beretta logo; a small tear is present at the bottom, but it remains in very good condition. This shotgun is housed in its original Beretta plastic case, lined and fitted with combination locks, providing secure storage and transport. Overall, this Beretta S687 Silver Pigeon is in excellent condition, with remarkable engraving, bright bores, and elegant presentation. A refined sporting shotgun, it is both a reliable performer and a highly desirable addition to any collection of fine arms. FFL Status: Modern
