Beretta Silver Pigeon – 12 Gauge Over/Under Shotgun – Cased This Beretta Silver Pigeon over/under shotgun, serial number L98423B, is chambered in 12 gauge for both 2 ¾-inch and 3-inch shells and is designed to accept screw-in chokes. Known for its balance, durability, and refined detailing, the Silver Pigeon is one of Beretta’s most celebrated models. The shotgun is fitted with 28-inch excelsior-high strength alloy steel barrels that retain an excellent matte finish. The bores are immaculate, bright, and shiny. The barrels feature a ventilated rib with a single white-dot front sight and a mid-rib, showing only the faintest silvering at the muzzle. The barrel flats are jeweled and display clear markings, and the barrels lock up tight against the action. The boxlock receiver is finished in coin steel and decorated with Beretta’s traditional logo on both sides, framed by elegant floral and scalloped engraving in pristine condition. The underside of the receiver is marked “P. Beretta Silver Pigeon, Made in Italy,” also surrounded by delicate engraving. The barrel release, tang-mounted safety, and barrel selector feature matching detail work. The gold trigger is paired with a brushed and engraved trigger guard bearing the Beretta logo. The stock set is crafted from beautiful hardwood with a honey-colored finish. The beavertail forearm is finely checkered with finger grooves and a gloss finish, with its release mechanism and contact metal parts engraved to match the receiver. The buttstock has a checkered pistol grip, showing only a small mar on the underside but otherwise in excellent condition with a light gloss finish. The stock is fitted with a black rubber recoil pad embossed with the Beretta logo, showing light wear but remaining in very good condition. The length of pull measures 13 7/8 inches. Included with this shotgun is its lined, lockable Beretta case, complete with handle, additional choke, and accessories. This Beretta Silver Pigeon is in excellent overall condition, combining the timeless Italian styling and craftsmanship of Beretta with meticulous care by its previous owner. A refined sporting shotgun, ready for the field, the range, or as a prized addition to any fine arms collection. FFL Status: Modern
