Winchester Model 64 Deluxe – .25-35 WCF – Rare Caliber This Winchester Model 64 Deluxe lever-action rifle, serial number 1882004, is chambered in the seldom-seen .25-35 WCF caliber. It is believed that only 1,902 rifles were produced in this caliber between 1933 and 1942, with production ending in 1941, making this one of the rarest Model 64 variations and highly sought after by collectors. The rifle features a 20-inch proofed steel barrel with a hooded front sight and an elevator-adjustable rear sight. The bore is very good, bright, and sharp. The barrel and magazine tube retain excellent original bluing, with only minor silvering at the muzzle. The receiver retains rich, dark bluing with only a small surface scratch on the left side and slight silvering near the forearm. The lever action cycles smoothly and shows only modest silvering at the edges. The walnut forearm is checkered, showing minor finish wear near the receiver and a higher gloss near the forend cap. The forend cap retains very good bluing and is fitted with a sling swivel. The walnut buttstock features a checkered pistol grip, a Winchester-logo grip cap, and shows only slight finish wear on the grip. The stock retains attractive grain with a pleasing patina, and is fitted with a checkered steel buttplate and a deluxe sling swivel at the base of the buttstock. Overall, this Deluxe Model 64 is in excellent condition, showing strong original finish, crisp wood, and fine mechanics. In the scarce .25-35 WCF caliber, this rifle represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of Winchester’s most desirable lever-action variations. FFL Status: Curio & Relic (C&R)
